The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India directing the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner.

On previous date, learned State counsel had filed status report dated 11.08.2025, in which it was stated that the present petitioner has made statement before the Investigating Officer that he lives in Village Tappar Harnian, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana. He has studied up to 10th grade and works as a farmer. He also submitted an application to the SSP Jagraon. He said that Subedar Sadhu Singh, the son of Gurdev Singh from his village, often files false complaints against him to mislead different departments. Because of this, the police from Galib Kalan police post used to visit him. The petitioner said that he made the application by mistake and does not want to take any action on it.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner had not made any such statement before the Police and further submits that the petitioner would be satisifed, if a direction may be given to the respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Ludhiana (Rural) to decide his representation dated 17.07.2025 (Annexure P-3) 4.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to look into the representation dated 17.07.2025, Annexure P-3, expeditiously, in accordance with law.
