The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondent No.2 to decide the application submitted by the petitioner for transfer of his area from outlet No. 4813/R Rajbaha Mudki to outlet No. 103780/R Sirhind Feeder within some stipulated period as after the remand of the case by respondent No.1 vide order dated 29.07.2021 (Annexure P-2), no action has been taken by respondent No.2 on the application submitted by the petitioner.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2 (Divisional Canal Officer, Ferozepur) to conclude the proceedings in pursuance of remand order dated 29.07.2021 (Annexure P-2); HIMANI GUPTA 2024.09.06 14:13 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

Mr. Navneet Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who has appeared on behalf of respondent/State in this case, pursuant to the advance copy of petition having been sent to the State, submits that the concerned Officer shall make earnest endeavor to conclude the proceedings in pursuance of remand order dated 29.07.2021 within a period of three months from today. 4.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not press the instant petition any further.

In view of the aforesaid submissions made by the respective counsel, the petition is disposed of, accordingly. 6.
