The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 29.01.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-9517-1996, whereby this Court has directed the State Government to consider claim of petitioners within three months from the date of passing of the order i.e. 29.01.2025.

COCP-3826-2025 (O&M) -2Vikas Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary to Government, Haryana, Urban Local Bodies Department, along with Annexures R-1 to R-3, has been filed on behalf of respondents before the Registry. The same is taken on record. 4.

A perusal of the compliance affidavit shows that in compliance of order dated 29.01.2025, a speaking order dated 20.05.2025 (Annexure R1) has been passed by the Commissioner and Secretary to Government, Haryana, Urban Local Bodies Department.

In view of the above, since order dated 29.01.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-9517-1996 has already been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 6.

Needless to say that the petitioners are at liberty to avail remedy as is available to them in accordance with law. 7.
