HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in in this criminal writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for setting-aside the order dated 02.08.2024 (Annexure P-1), passed by District Magistrate, Mansa, whereby the claim of the petitioner to release him on parole for taking care of his family has been dismissed. Further prayer has been made to direct the respondents to release the petitioner on parole for a period of 08 weeks, for taking care of his family, as per the provisions contained in Sections 3 and 4 of the Punjab Good Conduct of Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962. Learned State counsel has filed reply on behalf of respondents No.1, 3 and 5, today in the Court, which is taken on record and he at the very outset, submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous as the petitioner has already been granted the concession of suspension of sentence and he has been released on bail on 10.02.2025, in compliance of the order passed by this Court in CRM No.27714 of 2024 filed in CRA-S No.1144 of 2024.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
