Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for directing the respondents to consider the claim of petitioner for appointment to the post of S.S. Mistress or in the alternative, on the post of Senior Assistant in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, on compassionate grounds.

At the outset, learned counsel on instructions from petitioner submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, her client would be satisfied in case the representation dated 07.12.2021 (P-25) is decided expeditiously.

Notice of motion to the aforesaid limited extent. On asking of the Court, Mr. D.K. Singal, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent(s)-State and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioner.
