(ORAL) Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks the concession of 'anticipatory bail' under the provisions of Section 438 of the Cr.P.C., upon FIR no.0091, dated 04.10.2021, having been registered at Police Station Khalra, District Tarn Taran, alleging therein the commission of offences punishable under Sections 323, 324, 148 and 149 of the IPC (with Section 326 of the IPC added later). Learned State counsel submits that pursuant to the order dated 17.12.2021, the petitioner has joined investigation, though not within 10 days of the order passed by this court, but only in the month of February 2022. However, he does not deny (as per his instructions) that the only attribution to the petitioner is of exhortation and that he is about 66 years of age.
