(Oral) By way of instant petition, petitioners have approached this Court, under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for seeking directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7.

In compliance to order dated 06.09.2024, status report dated 26.09.2024 has been filed by learned State counsel, in Court today, which is taken on record. A copy thereof has been handed over to the counsel for the petitioners.

Learned State counsel on instructions from SI Deepak Kumar submits that on 24.09.2024, statements of respondents No. 6 and 7 were recorded, wherein they stated that they have no objection to the relationship of the petitioners and there is no apprehension of danger to the petitioners' life and liberty from their side. They also confirmed that they have not given KAVITA NAIN 2024.09.30 13:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document order/judgment any threats to the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has not controverted the submissions made by the learned State counsel. 5.

Believing the stand of the State as taken in the status report, I am of the view that no issue is left for this Court to entertain the prayer made in the petition regarding providing protection to the lives and liberty of the petitioners.

Thus, in view of the observations made hereinabove, present petition stands disposed of as infructuous.
