%&&" ******* KARAMJIT SINGH, J.(Oral) Counsel for the petitioners submits that the present petition has been filed by the petitioners, who performed marriage against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 7, who are extending threats to cause harm to the petitioners and in this regard, representation dated 31.08.2024 (Annexure P-6) is already submitted by the petitioners to respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga. 2.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Jasjeet Singh Dhaliwal, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 and submits that as per his instructions now the matter has been compromised between the parties and to this effect statements of petitioners were recorded and copies of the same are taken on record.

Faced with this situation, counsel for the petitioners made statement that the present petition be disposed of, in view of the aforesaid statement made by the State counsel.

In view of above, without going into the merits of the case, the present petition is hereby disposed of.

However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners. In case the petitioners have committed any offence, law will take its own course.
