SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) The petitioners are seeking regular bail in FIR No.149 dated 05.06.2019 under Sections 148, 149, 323, 324, 506 and 326 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 registered at Police Station Mahesh Nagar, District Ambala. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that all four petitioners are young boys and in the age group of 19 to 21 years. He has further submitted that injuries attributed to the petitioners are simple in nature and it has been alleged that they were carrying sticks with which they caused injuries on the complainant party.

On instructions from H.C. Gurdev Singh, learned State counsel has submitted that the petitioners are in custody since 16.08.2019 and challan has been presented on 13.09.2019. The charges were framed on 29.01.2020.

Since the petitioners are in custody for more than 05 months approximately and the trial will take sometime to conclude, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioners behind the bars any further.

Without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail on their furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
