The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents for granting eight weeks' parole to the petitioner under the provisions of Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962 as amended in 2015.

Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel took time to have instructions. Today, he states that no official has come present to give instructions.

The writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent No.5 to decide the application dated 16.07.2019 within 10 days from today.
