NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, quashing the advertisement dated 29.08.2024 (Annexure P-7), published in Punjab Kesari newspaper. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing official respondents No.1 to 5, to fill up the regular vacancies to the posts of Safai Sewak/Sweeper, amongst the petitioners on the basis of first preference as all of them are already working with the respondents. Further prayer has been made to restrain the respondents from filling up the regular vacancies/contract vacancies to the post of Safai Sewak/Sweeper, during the pendency of the present petition.

After arguing the case for some time, learned counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh one, on the same cause of action, with better particulars by attaching all the necessary documents and by placing on record correct translated copies of vernacular documents.
