Present petition has been filed under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.35 dated 01.3.2019, under Sections 451, 376 and 506 of IPC, registered at Police Station Sadar Fazilka, District Fazilka.

On 9.9.2024, the following order was passed:

Inter alia contends that the non-appearance of the petitioner before the trial Court on the concerned date was inadvertent and bonafide; the petitioner is willing to appear before the trial Court and face proceedings in accordance with law.

Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Adhiraj Singh, AAG, Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State of Punjab. The petitioner is permitted to appear before the trial Court on or before the next date of hearing which is stated to be 22.09.2024. In case the petitioner chooses to appear before the concerned Court, the said Court shall admit him to interim bail.

CRM-M No.44636 of 2024 -23. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has brought to the notice of this court a copy of the order dated 20.9.2024, whereby the petitioner has appeared before the concerned Court and was granted bail as directed by this Court vide order dated 9.9.2024. 4.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and upon perusal of the record, this Court deems it appropriate to confirm the interim bail order passed on 9.9.2024, subject to the petitioner continuing to appear before the trial Court and cooperate for expeditious disposal of the trial accordingly.

Ordered accordingly.

This order should not be treated as "blanket" order. It will not be read granting petitioner indefinite protection from arrest. It shall be confined to the FIR mentioned ibid and will not operate in respect of any other incident that involves commission of an offence. 7.

Liberty is reserved in favour of State/complainant to move for cancellation/recall of this order in case the petitioner violates any condition stipulated under Section 482(2) of BNSS or upon showing any other sufficient cause.
