Learned counsel submits that the pay of the petitioner was rightly fixed vide order dated 30.07.2019, Annexure P-5, in view of the judgment dated 24.03.2009 titled as Lekh Raj Khera and Others vs. State of Punjab and Another in CWP-2208-1989, Annexure P-2 and Ramesh Chander and Others vs. State of Punjab and Others, CWP-17953-2012, decided on 12.09.2012, filed by him, however, the benefits thereof have not been released despite repeated representations including the one dated 28.02.2025, Annexure P-6, having been submitted. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner. 2.
Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 3.
In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation dated 28.02.2025, within a period of 4 MOHIT 2025.08.01 12:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-21850-2025 (O&M) -2months, taking note of the afore-referred judgments, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
