(ORAL) Petition herein, under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner for interview for the post of President in the District Consumer Dispute Redressal in the State of Haryana. 2.
On the last date of hearing, the case was adjourned for today on the request of learned counsel for the petitioner. Today also, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

The case of the petitioner is that in pursuant to the advertisement (Annexure P-1), he had applied for the post of President in District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission in the State of Haryana and the last date for submission of applications was 08.09.2021. The application form submitted by the petitioner was rejected on the ground of delay as the same was received by the respondent-department on 09.09.2021 i.e. after the due date of receipt of the application. On advance service of copy of the petition, learned State counsel appears and submits that the interviews have already been conducted and the candidates have been selected.

Interviews have since already been conducted and the entire selection process is through and at this stage, no indulgence can be shown by this Court on that ground alone. Perhaps that also seems to be reason of non- prosecution of the instant petition.

Dismissed on the ground of delay and laches.
