This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19. Prayer in this petition under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 is for extension of time for completion of Arbitral proceedings and declaration of the Arbitral Award. It is submitted that though earlier extension in time for completion of Arbitral proceedings was granted on 09.08.2021, the matter could not be concluded due to unavoidable circumstances, as is evident from order dated 28.10.2021 passed by the learned Sole Arbitrator.

Learned counsel for the petitioners as well as respondents pray for extension of time for conclusion of Arbitral proceedings for about two months.

ARB-39-2022 -2Having heard learned counsel for the parties and on perusal of the file including order dated 28.10.2021 passed by the learned Sole Arbitrator, period for conclusion of Arbitral proceedings and declaration of the Award is extended till 10.05.2022.

Petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
