(Oral) This is a Letters Patent Appeal under Clause X of the Letters Patent, impugning the interim order dated 9th February, 2017, passed by the learned Single Judge, whereby, a direction had been issued to the respondents (appellants herein) to pay an interim compensation of `3,00,000/- to the petitioner (respondent No.1 herein). 2.

A perusal of the order dated 9th February, 2017 (impugned herein) shows that the petitioner was an unmarried girl of about 20 years of age. On fateful day of 15th September, 2013, when she suffered injuries in pursuance to a dead tree in Sector 17, Chandigarh, which had been cut and fallen on her leg. There was gangrenous development in her leg and, therefore, the same was amputated. In such circumstances, the award of amount of interim compensation i.e. `3,00,000/- by the learned Single Judge, can not to be said to be excessive and unreasonable. 3.

No ground for interference is made out.
