(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, who apprehend threat to their life at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 8.

In view of the prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, to look into the representation dated 09.09.2023 (Annexure P-7) of the petitioners and take appropriate steps, if required, in accordance with law, expeditiously.
