Without adverting to the merits of the case, learned counsel for the petitioners prays for withdrawal of the present petition with liberty to pursue the representation already filed by him with respondent No. 2. 2.

Without commenting on the merits, the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with aforesaid liberty, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case.

Needless to say, the State is duty bound to protect the life and liberty of all its citizens and maintain peace and harmony. 4.

However, it is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
