This is a petition under Section 482 of the Baratiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as "BNSS"), for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No. 64 dated 14.09.2023, under Section 406, 420, 506 and 120-B of Indian Penal Code, 1860, Police Station Mulepur, District Fatehgarh Sahib.

Mr. Eklavya Darshi, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

The learned State counsel, on the instructions from Jagjit Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector, Police Station Mulepur, District Fatehgarh Sahib, states that during the course of investigation, the petitioner has been found to be innocent and therefore, the Investigating Agency is not going to prosecute the petitioner. According to learned State counsel, in such a situation the DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2025.08.11 18:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document question of arrest of the petitioner does not arise.

In view of the above mentioned statement of the petitioner, learned State counsel, the learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that that the parties have already entered into compromise and that the petitioner does not want to press this petition. The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition 6.

In view of the above, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
