The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to provide the emploment commensurate to the educational qualifications.

Learned counsel submits that petitioner No.2 is seeking appointment under the honour and gratitude policy as his father late Sh. Mohinder Singh died on 03.05.1991 while posted in Operational Area and was declared as a battle casualty by the Commanding Officer, 12th Battalion, The Sikh Light Infantry, Annexure P-2 dated 07.03.2016. In this regard, a representation dated 14.08.2020, Annexure P-6, has been submitted, however, the same has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 3.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to MOHIT 2025.07.10 19:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-26148-2021 (O&M) -2consider and decide the representation dated 14.08.2020, keeping in view the aforesaid policy, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
