(ORAL) After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition while submitting that the petitioner would be surrendering before the trial Court/Court concerned tomorrow, i.e 22.12.2021 and would be moving the application there for seeking regular bail and he further prays that the Court concerned be directed to decide the said bail application within some specific time frame. Mr. Amitoj Singh Dhaliwal, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who has appeared in this case in pursuance of the copy of the instant petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance, has no objection to the above-discussed submission as well as the prayer as made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

Resultantly, the petition in hand is hereby dismissed for having been withdrawn.

However, in case the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court/Court concerned on 22.12.2021 and moves the application for seeking regular bail, the same be decided within three days positively, in accordance with law, in view of the facts and circumstances of the case. 21.12.2021.
