1. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in a case registered against him vide FIR No. 65 dated 18.8.2019 under Sections 21/22/61/29 of NDPS Act at Police Station Qadian, District Batala.

2. It is the case of prosecution that one Malkiat Singh was found in possession of 10 grams of heroin and 500 intoxicating tablets. It is further the case of prosecution that during the course of interrogation, the said Malkiat Singh disclosed that the contraband had been supplied to him by the petitioner.

3. Pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court, the petitioner is stated to have joined investigation. The learned State counsel has, however, informed that there are three other cases pending against the petitioner.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, especially that the petitioner has been nominated on the basis of disclosure statement, the KAMAL KUMAR 2020.01.28 14:12 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-42454-2019(O&M) veracity and admissibility of which would be debatable, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not warranted.

5.
