The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India directing the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner.

Learned State counsel has filed status report/reply by way of affidavit of Nikhil Garg, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Poice (Inv.), District Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab on behalf of respondent-State in Court today, which is taken on record. A copy of the same has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner.
