The petitioners have approached this Court seeking direction to the official respondents for expeditiously conducting the investigation in a case FIR No.183 dated 19.06.2025, registered under Sections 109/3(5)/351(3), 352 of BNS, 2023 at Police Station Ambala City, Haryana. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.1 is married with the brother of petitioner No.2. It is submitted that she has married against the wishes of her family and hence, respondent No.4, who is the brother of petitioner No.1, has lodged the present FIR. He submits that petitioner No.1 and Nishu had approached this Court by way of filing CRWP346-2025 for seeking protection, which was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 15.01.2025. It is thus, submitted that the FIR has been registered in a calendestine manner and the same be investigated in a free and fair manner. CRM-M-41916-2025 (O&M) ( 2 ) (Annexure P-3) before the Superintendent of Police, Ambala, but the same has not been taken into consideration till date. He has further submitted that petitioners would be satisfied if representation dated 30.07.2025 (Annexure P-3) is decided in a time bound manner.

Notice of motion to the respondent - State.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Sumit Jain, Addl. A.G., Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and at the outset submits that petitioner No.1 has no locus standi to approach this Court as she is not even the accused in the said FIR. On instructions, he submits that the investigation is already going on in an impartial manner and out of 3 accused, one of the accused - Bhim, has already been arrested, whereas arrest of 2 other accused is still pending. He submits that the investigation would be conducted in a free and fair manner expeditiously.

After hearing counsel for the parties, respondent No.2Superintendent of Police, Ambala is directed to decide the representation dated 30.07.2025 (Annexure P-3) filed by the petitioners expeditiously preferably within one month from today, in accordance with law. 7.
