MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of the private respondents, who have been pressurizing him and also threatening him with dire consequences to withdraw the complaint, which has been instituted against them by the petitioner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that despite representations having been give to the official respondents, which have been annexed as Annexures P-3 and P-4, they have failed to come to the rescue of the petitioner. He submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Rural, Ludhiana, to look into their representation (Annexure P-3) and take appropriate steps at the earliest. 3.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a directions to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Rural, Ludhiana, to look into the representation dated 02.03.2023 (Annexure P-3) qua the alleged threat perception and take necessary steps, as may be required, in accordance with law, to ensure that the life and liberty of the petitioner is not jeopardized at the hands of the private respondents.
