Through this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.175 dated 26.05.2021, registered at Police Station Islamabad, Amritsar, under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC, Section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professional Act, 2014.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the complainant had allegedly made the payment to main accused, Maninder Kaur, who is related to him, and the petitioner was not a direct beneficiary of the payments.

% and son to Canada. He draws the attention of this Court towards the findings recorded in the order dated 12.07.2021 passed by a Coordinate Bench in CRM-M-24282-2021, while dismissing the petition filed by the co-accused, Maninder Kaur.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties. There are allegations against the petitioner that he alongwith co-accused enticed the complainant for sending the complainant, his wife and his son to Canada and received the amount from him and the cheques on different occasions, but they had been sent to other countries on Tourist Visa. Neither the complainant was sent abroad nor his money had been returned.

The Coordinate Bench, on 12.07.2021, while dismissing the petition filed by co-accused, Maninder Kaur, seeking anticipatory bail, noticed as under:

Keeping in view the serious allegations levelled against the petitioner coupled with the role played by the petitioner in the commission of offence as discussed in the order dated 12.07.2021 passed by the Coordinate Bench while dismissing the petition of the co-accused, this Court find that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation. Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
