The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to the respondents to issue passport.

The petitioner has applied for passport vide application dated 20.04.2023. An FIR No.14 dated 20.02.2019, under Sections 366 and 380 IPC at Police Station Sadar Batala, District Gurdaspur, was registered against the petitioner. The FIR was registered on 20.02.2019, however, till date, police has not filed challan against the petitioner. 3.
The case of the petitioner is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court in Mohan Lal @ Mohna vs. Union of India and others, 2023 SCC Online (P&H) 1391.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would withdraw one application within a week from today. 6.
In the wake of statement of learned counsels for the parties, the petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondents to pass an appropriate order within 06 weeks from the date of withdrawal of one application seeking passport.
