Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the detenue is the legally wedded wife of the petitioner and they would like to live together in a rented accommodation somewhere at a safer distance from their present residence.

Learned State counsel submits that presently, the detenue is at Nari Niketan, Karnal.

Let the petitioner approach the Nari Niketan, Karnal and the concerned SHO at Karnal for release of the detenue and for providing adequate police protection to them. In case the petitioner approaches the SHO concerned, he shall ensure that adequate security is provided to them for their safer exit from Karnal till their new place of residence, where also, ASHWANI KUMAR 2021.12.21 16:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-12010-2021 further security shall be provided to them on day to day basis by the concerned SHO.

Counsel for the petitioner shall supply the address in which the petitioner along with the detenue would stay together. Mr. Rajat Gautam, DAG, Haryana shall convey this order to the concerned Superintendent of Police for strict compliance. It is further clarified that the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the concerned Superintendent of Police or SHO within the territorial jurisdiction of Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory, Chandigarh, seeking police protection and they shall be provided appropriate security, upto Jan.9, 2022.

Given above, since nothing remains to be adjudicated in this petition, the present petition is disposed of with abovesaid directions. However, further liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court in case any threat perception still subsists. It shall also be open for counsel for the petitioner to contact Mr. Rajat Gautam, DAG, Haryana to apprise him of the situation and for seeking adequate police assistance, if required.
