The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 12.11.2024 passed by Regional Passport Officer, Jalandhar whereby respondent has rejected his application seeking issuance of passport. 2.

The petitioner vide application dated 14.12.2023, applied for the passport. The said application was filed along with copy of Italian passport of father and Indian passport of mother. The respondent rejected petitioner's request vide impugned order dated 12.11.2024. 3.

On being pointed out, learned counsel for the petitioner concedes that impugned order is an appealable order. He further submits that petitioner has already filed appeal before Appellate Authority. The grievance of the petitioner would be redressed if appellate authority is directed to decide his appeal in a time-bound manner.
