(ORAL) Prayer in this Criminal Writ Petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ, order or direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 5 to 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, he would be satisfied if direction is issued to respondent No. 3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, District Moga, to consider and take a final decision on the representations dated 26.06.2027 and 07.09.2024 (Annexures P-8 and P-9, respectively) moved by the petitioner, in a time bound manner.

On the asking of Court, Ms. Guramrit Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 4 and submits that he has 'no objection' in case the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners at this stage, is accepted.

CRWP-8818-2024 -2After hearing learned counsel for the parties, without going into the merits of the present petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3- Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, District Moga to forthwith consider the grievance(s) raised by the petitioners in the aforesaid representations (Annexure P-8 and P-9) and take action thereupon as he deems fit, in accordance with law, within a period of 06 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
