The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered against him vide FIR No. 86 dated 27.10.2021, Police Station Qadian, District Batala, under Section 420 IPC.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion the following order was passed on 5.1.2022:
"The petitioner herein seeks the relief of anticipatory bail in the criminal case arising out of the FIR bearing No.86 dated 27.10.2021 registered at Police Station Qadian District Batala, under Section 420 IPC.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter-alia, contends that the subject FIR is a counter-blast to the complaint moved by the sister of the petitioner against complainant-
- 2 - Hardeep Singh, i.e Annexure P-3 and the petitioner and the complainant were having some monetary dispute which, now, stands resolved between them and moreover, he (petitioner) is ready to join in the investigation as and when so required and is also not involved in any other criminal case of the similar nature.
Notice of motion.
Mr. Amitoj Singh Dhaliwal, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings in this case in pursuance of the copy of the present petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance, accepts the notice. He seeks time to get proper and complete instructions in this matter from the quarter concerned and if deemed necessary, then to file the status-report also.
At this stage, Mr. A.K.Ranolia, Advocate, has also joined the proceedings on behalf of the complainant in this case and has forwarded his power of attorney to the Court through "WhatsApp Group for VideoConferencing" and the same has been placed on the file. He also admit the factum of the dispute between the parties having been settled amicably.
Adjourned to 04.04.2022.
Meanwhile, in the event of his arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing the requisite personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer.
However, the petitioner shall join in the investigation as and when required/called upon to do so and shall also strictly abide by all the conditions as laid down in Section 438(2) Cr.P.C."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter stands amicably resolved amognst the parties. It has further been submitted that the petitioner in deference to order dated 5.1.2022 has joined investigation.

Learned State counsel has endorsed the fact that the petitioner has joined investigation. It has also been submitted that the petitioner is not required for any custodial interrogation. 5.
In view of the aforestated position wherein the petitioner has joined investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation, the petition is accepted and interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 5.1.2022 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
