The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.110 dated 3.6.2021, Police Station Division No.6, Jalandhar, District Police Commissionerate Jalandhar, under Section 406 of Indian Penal Code.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion on 22.12.2021, the following order was passed:

"The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in a case registered vide FIR No.110, dated 3.6.2021, Police Station Division No.6, Jalandhar, District Police Commissionerate Jalandhar, under Section 409 IPC. As per the case of the prosecution, on 23.4.2021 when a flying squad of Punjab Roadways conducted checking of a bus bearing registration No. PB-08EC-1632, then it was found that the PANKAJ KAKKAR 2022.05.09 16:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

( 2 ) CRM-M-53719-2021 (O&M) Conductor of the bus namely Ranjit Singh had issued 24 tickets to the passengers, out of which 21 passengers had been issued forged tickets which had been issued through a forged ticket machine. It is thus, alleged that petitioner-Ranjit Singh had misappropriated an amount of Rs.3985/- by issuing forged tickets to the passengers. Notice of motion for 9.5.2022.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Arresting/Investigating Officer and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C."

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from the Investigating Officer, has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioner has since joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation. It has also been informed that the petitioner is not involved in any other case. 4.

Having regard to the aforestated position, wherein the petitioner is stated to have joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation and is not even stated to be involved in any other case, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 22.12.2021 are hereby made absolute, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. 9.5.2022 ( Gurvinder Singh Gill ) pankaj Judge Whether speaking /reasoned Yes / No Whether Reportable Yes / No PANKAJ KAKKAR 2022.05.09 16:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
