(Oral) The instant petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to conduct fair and transparent investigation into the case bearing FIR No. 0033 dated 27.02.2022 registered under Sections 306 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Shri Hargobindpur, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur.

Learned State Counsel submits on instructions from ASI Rashpal Singh, Belt No. 3026/Batala that the investigation in the case is already complete and a cancellation report had been filed on 04.08.2023. He also submits that despite issuance of notice, the complainant has chosen not to appear before the Illaqa Magistrate.

Since the prayer in the present petition is to conduct and conclude the investigation which has since then been completed and a final report/cancellation report has already been submitted, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with liberty to the petitioner to appear before the Illaqa Magistrate and to espouse his subsisting grievance, if any.
