The prayer in the present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a direction to respondent Nos.4 and 5 to refrain from issuing threats to the petitioner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that a complaint was given by the petitioner and instead of taking any action on the complaint, respondent No.4 - ASI Mukhtar Singh, Incharge Police Post Kang, Police Station Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran - has been putting pressure upon the petitioner, in connivance with the opposite party, to compromise the matter.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Lakhbir Kaur, has stated that in view of the apprehension expressed by the petitioner, the case has been shifted to the Women Cell, Tarn Taran. The Investigating Officer Lakhbir Kaur had called the complainant to respond to certain documents. However, she has stated that she is in the last stage of pregnancy and would join the investigation thereafter.

In view of the submissions made by the learned State counsel, no further orders need to be passed in the present case. Accordingly the present petition is disposed off. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
