(Oral) The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in a cross-case i.e. DDR No. 28 dated 22.10.2021, Police Station Sadar, Kapurthala, under Sections 323, 324, 379, 506, 148, 149 IPC and Section 3, 3(1) r, 3(1) S.C. & S.T. Act (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (Section 326 IPC added later on) in FIR No. 181, dated 22.10.2021, Police Station Sadar, Kapurthala, under Sections 323, 427, 379, 148, 149 IPC.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the cross-version lodged against the petitioner is infact a counter blast and that in any case even if the allegations as levelled in the same are taken to be correct the same mainly pertain to causing of injury below left knee with 'datar' and utterance of objectionable words. Learned counsel submits that having regard to the fact that it is a case of cross-version, it will be debatable as to MOHAN SINGH 2021.12.23 15:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to surrender before the trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate within a period of 10 days from today and to move an application for grant of regular bail.
