The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.128, dated 02.09.2023, registered under Sections 380, 447, 457 and 506 IPC at Police Station Division No.4, District Patiala.

Status report has been filed by learned State counsel today in Court. The same is taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel on instructions submits that the petitioner is ready to surrender before the trial Court and prays that his bail application be directed to be decided within a time bound manner. 4.

In view of the prayer made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court that in case the petitioner surrenders on or before 20.10.2023 and files an application for grant of bail, the same be decided expeditiously in accordance with law.
