Petitioner - Sukhjinder Kaur, aged about 44 yeas, has filed present petition u/s 528 of BNSS, 2023, for seeking free, fair and impartial investigation in complaint No. 175-MISC, dated 23.01.2025 (P-1), registered before Sr. Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, against Manpreet Kaur and Aman Kumar, who were the domestic help in the house of the petitioner.

As per the complaint, financial assistance of Rs.4,50,000/- had been given to the husband of Manpreet Kaur, i.e., Aman Kumar, by transferring the said amount in his bank account. Apart this, an amount of Rs.3,00,000/- in cash, had also been given to both of them. It is further alleged that despite repeated requests nothing was paid back. Rather, said Manpreet Kaur had stopped working as 'maid' in the house of the petitioner since October, 2024. On advance notice, learned State counsel puts in appearance on behalf of the respondents and on instructions, submits that the complaint submitted by the petitioner had already been examined and investigated on 26.02.2025, i.e., even prior to the filing of instant petition, and no substance of truth was found in the same.
