(ORAL) Prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant them opportunity to serve as Associate/Assistant Professor as Extension Lecturer (Punjabi) in government colleges where they have retired, in terms of policies dated 20.07.2017, 20.09.2017, 16.09.2019 and 20.09.2019 (Annexure P-1 colly) whereby displaced eligible Extension Lecturers are not available then the retired Assistant/Associate Professors of the Government colleges can be engaged.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent-Director Higher Education, Haryana, Shiksha Sadan, Sector 5, Panchkula to consider the representations (Annexure P-3 colly) within a stipulated period. Without going into the merits and demerits of the claim of the petitioners, I deem it appropriate to direct 2nd respondent-Director Higher Education, Haryana, Shiksha Sadan, Sector 5, Panchkula to consider the representations (Annexure P-3 colly) within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and shall pass a speaking PANKAJ KUMAR 2019.10.15 14:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.28822 of 2019 (O&M) -2order thereon, failing which respondent No.2 shall be liable to pay costs of `25,000/- to the petitioners. This condition of imposing costs is only to prevent petitioners running from pillar to post and avail remedy of contempt in case of non-compliance of directions issued by this Court.
