The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release payment with respect to work carried out by it for the respondent. 2.

Learned counsel for respondents No. 2 to 8 submits that competent authority would consider petitioner's claim and if any admitted liability is found, it would be discharged within three months from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent may be subjected to interest @ 6% per annum from the date of passing bills.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondents No. 2 to 8 to release payment to the petitioner within three months from today. It is made clear that if payment is not released within aforesaid period, the rate of interest would be 9% from the expiry of said period. The petitioner is at liberty to approach appropriate authority qua disputed amount. 5.
