**** SANDEEP MOUDGIL , J.(ORAL) This is a petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members who are apprehending danger to their life and liberty at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 8. The petitioner has also sought constitution of Special Investigation Team for conducting an inquiry for alleged registration of false cases under the NDPS Act against the brother of the petitioner namely Jaspal Singh i.e. FIR No.662 dated 25.08.2024 under Sections 15 of NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Shahabad, District Kurukshetra. The petitioner is stated to have sent an email to the SP Kurukshetra at spkrk@hry.nic.in, with a copy to the Haryana police at police@hry.nic.in dated 25.08.2024 (Annexure P-1) at 12.42 AM after the SANGEETA 2024.09.20 09:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-9005-2024 brother of the petitioner was picked up at about 10.30 PM on 24.08.2024 from the Dhaba being run by the family of the petitioner. The Superintendent of Police, Kurukshetra is directed to examined the allegations levelled in the email dated 25.08.2024 (Annexure P-1) attached to the instant petition along with the assertions made in the instant petition considering it to be a representation made on behalf of the present petitioner.

After examination of the same and providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, Superintendent of Police shall pass a speaking order within a period of two weeks from today in accordance with law. A copy of the order so passed shall be furnished to the petitioner within a week thereafter.
