PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) This is a petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.
It has been pleaded that the petitioners apprehend threat at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5 and they have represented to the authorities vide Annexure P-5.
On advance notice Mr. Anil K. Lamdharia, Addl. Public Prosecutor appears for respondents No.1 to 3 and on instructions from ASI Pawan Kumar submits that after receipt of representation, the Authorities have recorded statements of the petitioners, who have before the Police Authorities submitted that they don't apprehend any threat from respondents No.4 and 5.
