(ORAL) Petitioners are seeking the concession of anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) in case FIR No.72 dated 21.08.2024 under Sections 221, 132, 121(1), 191(3), 190 of the BNS, registered at Police Station Valtoha, District Tarn Taran.

While issuing notice of motion on 13.09.2024, following submissions of learned counsel for the petitioners were recorded:- "Learned counsel for the petitioners, inter alia, contends that the petitioners although named in the FIR in question, had no role to play in the dispute between the parents of the girl students and co-accused Akashdeep, who had been allegedly passing lewd remarks against the girls students; the allegations levelled that the petitioners along with co-accused had attacked the police party and tore off the uniform of the police officials was completely baseless."

CRM-M-45655-2024 -2been granted interim anticipatory bail with direction to join investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in compliance of order dated 16.10.2024, the petitioners have joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating agency. 5.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, does not dispute the factum of the petitioners having joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating agency. He, on further instructions, submits that the petitioners are not required for further investigation much less for their custodial interrogation.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed and interim order dated 16.10.2024 is made absolute subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) Cr.P.C./482(2) BNSS.
