Yogesh Rani v. Aman Deep Goyal
IN THE HIGH COURT FOR THE STATES OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH.
TA 496 of 2013 Date of decision:- 6.4.2015 Yogesh Rani Petitioner vs.
Aman Deep Goyal Respondent
Present:
Mr. Deepak Aggarwal, Advocate.
Mr. Akash Singla, Advocate.
M.M.S.BEDI,J.
This is a petition for transfer of the divorce petition filed by respondent-husband, from Sangrur to Bathinda on the ground of convenience.
Counsel for the respondent has vehemently opposed the petition mentioning in detail the reasons in the reply claiming that the petitioner has filed the present petition only on the ground that she has been transferred from Malerkotla to Phul whereas she has sought transfer of her own after the filing of the divorce petition on 29.7.2013 with an intention to cause harassment to the respondent- husband. Reference has been made to para 24 of the divorce petition. I have heard counsel for the parties. Taking into consideration the convenience of the petitioner-wife, the divorce petition can be transferred from Sangrur to Bathinda as the distance from Sangrur to Bathinda is 90 kms. Ordered accordingly. The divorce petition filed by the respondent-husband, titled Amandeep Goyal vs. Yogesh Rani is transferred from Sangrur to Bathinda.
The file complete in all respect will be sent to District Judge, Bathinda. The parties are directed to appear before the District Judge Bathinda on 23.5.2015. It will be open to the District Judge, Bathinda either to take up the matter himself or entrust the same to any other court of competent jurisdiction. Disposed of.
