Ritu Rani and Anand Kumar, the petitioners before this Court, claim themselves to be major. It has been pleaded that they have married against the wishes of the respondent No.4 to 6 and seek protection to their life and liberty. They apprehend danger from the respondent No.4 to 6. They have placed on record marriage certificate (Annexure P-3) evidencing their marriage. The petitioners have submitted a representation dated 29.07.2025 (Annexure P-4) to the respondent No.2.

Mr. Parveen Kumar Aggarwal, Addl. Advocate General, Haryana, who is present in Court, accepts notice for the official respondents. Counsel for the petitioners is directed to supply a copy of complete paper book to the counsel appearing for the State during the course of the day. 4.

Without commenting upon the validity of relationship between the parties, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-

CRWP-8438-2025 (O&M) ( 2 ) Superintendent of Police, Jind, District Jind to decide the said representation of the petitioners (Annexure P-4) within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Respondent No.2 is further directed to ensure protection to the life and liberty of the petitioners, if there is any threat.
