(ORAL) The only prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners before this Court is for a direction to the respondent-authorities to consider and decide their representations dated 02.12.2021 (Annexure P-12) and 31.12.2021 which are pending before them.

Mr. Avinit Avasthi, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab on advance copy submits that the representations dated 02.12.2021 (Annexure P-12) and 31.12.2021 shall be considered and decided by the respondent-authorities expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months.

In view of the aforesaid statement made by learned State counsel, we do not find any reason to entertain the present petition which is accordingly disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and, therefore, the authorities would be at liberty to examine the matter keeping all facts and facets into consideration and thereafter accept or reject the same in accordance with law.
