In the present writ petition, petitioner has challenged the order dated 02.05.2025 (Annexure P8) passed by respondent No.2 whereby, the candidature of the petitioner under the 'Handicapped (Visual)' category is rejected on the ground that the petitioner's visual disability was less than 40%.

A perusal of order dated 10.09.2025 passed by this Court would show that Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh was directed to constitute a Medical Board of three senior competent Doctors to assess the visual disability of the petitioner.

As per the abovesaid order, report was to be sent by the Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh to this Court, which has been handed over today to this Court in an envelope. The abovesaid report is taken on record. As per the report dated 13.10.2025 of the Medical Board, the VIVEK PAHWA 2025.11.14 15:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CWP-22448-2025 petitioner has been assessed with a visual disability of 30% and the nature of his disability is permanent in nature.

In light of the report submitted by the PGIMER Chandigarh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner does not want to press the present writ petition.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed as not pressed.
