(ORAL) This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members especially his son Ranjit Singh at the hands of the police of respondent No.4. After arguing the case for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw this petition with liberty to approach the concerned authorities for redressal of his grievance.
