**** SANJAY VASHISTH , J. (Oral) On 17.08.2022, following order was passed:- "Perusal of the file reveals that on 23.12.2021, none had appeared on behalf of the petitioners. Thereafter, on 30.12.2021 notice of motion was issued and upon instructions, learned State counsel while accepting the notice, submitted that FIR no. 144 dated 08.09.2021 under Sections 363, 366-A IPC has already been registered against petitioner No. 2 on 08.09.2021. On that day matter was adjourned for 07.02.2022 and respondent No. 2 was directed to look into the representation dated 20.12.2021 (Annexure P-4) and take necessary steps, if any, as may be, required. Thereafter, on 07.02.02022, 23.05.2022 and 11.07.2022, no one has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioners.
Per contra, learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Satnam Singh, submits that on 15.08.2022, petitioner No. 1 has given a statement before the Police and disclosed that both the petitioners are living together alongwith their family and as of now there is no danger/threat perception to their life and liberty. Copy (in Punjabi vernacular) of the said statement is taken on record. Since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners today also, in the interest of justice, adjourned to 30.08.2022 as last opportunity.
