(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of The Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, for release of detenue namely Sanju, wife of the petitioner, who is illegally detained by respondents No.6 to 9.

In compliance of order dated 10.09.2024 passed by this Court, report of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sri Muktsar Sahib, who had been directed by this Court vide the above said order to record the statement of the detenue, has been received and perused. 3.

As per the report received, detenue has suffered a statement to the effect that she wants to reside with her parents and does not want to reside with petitioner-Dharampal. 4.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the instant petition as the alleged detenue does not wish to accompany the petitioner.

The instant petition stands dismissed.
