JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Govind Chauhan, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to be issued to the official respondents for conducting fair and proper investigation pertaining to FIR No.709 dated 17.7.2019 registered at Police Station Thanesar City, District Kurukshetra under Section 306 of Indian Penal Code.

The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that daughter of petitioner No.1 was found dead in her matrimonial home and her dead body was bearing marks of strangulation around her neck and at that time she was carrying eight months pregnancy and that the said child also died in the womb.

The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the police is somehow trying to shield the culprits and has lodged the FIR in respect of offence under Section 306 IPC, whereas in the present case the Pankaj Kakkar 2019.10.16 09:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRM-M-43663-2019 (O&M) deceased was being harassed on account of dowry and infact it is a case of murder and not of suicide.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Superintendent of Police, Kurukshetra to look into the matter and to decide the representation dated 24.7.2019 (Annexure P-3), moved by petitioner, in accordance with law and also to ensure that the matter is got investigated thoroughly wherein the aspect of incident being a case of murder shall also be examined, particularly in light of medical evidence and thereafter a final report shall be filed at the earliest.
